Boston 2009

In the spring of 2009 the hockey academy ventured on its first recruiting trip of this kind.  We took a class of 18 female players from our female program. 

Our student-athletes and staff had a memorable experience as we accomplished a lot throughout the trip.  We toured four amazing universities in the Massachusetts area- Harvard, Northeastern, UMASS & BU.  The coaching staffs for each school took us on tours of their campus as well their hockey facilities.

Our girls also got to show case their talents for the universities in attendance as we played some exhibition games against the Boston Shamrocks.  Our games were held at the Boston Bruins practice facility which we also received an in depth tour.

The overall experience of Boston was well rounded by a tour of the city; as well we attended a Boston Red Sox baseball game at the historical Fenway Park and a Boston Celtic basketball game.

This inaugural trip was outstanding and has opened the door for future trips for our academy.
