Connecticut & NY 2010
Based on the success of our Boston trip, this year’s trip was focused on the male program and two classes for a total of thirty-eight players took part in our recruit trip to CT & NY.
We started off in Connecticut for the first two-thirds of the trip where we toured four top universities in the Connecticut area- Yale, Quinnipiac, UCONN & Sacred Heart. Once again all four schools took the time to meet with our student-athletes as well introduce us to their campuses and hockey facilities.
Like our female players in Boston, our boys got to play in a “Show Case” against the Connecticut Bobcats organization. Our JR & SR Varsity teams played well and compiled a 2-2 record while impressing many of the NCAA Div I & III and prep schools that were in attendance. Both teams were also treated to a practice ran by Wesleyan college.
Finishing out our trip was a trip to Manhattan, NY. We took in two tours which we viewed- Central Park, Rockefeller Place, Times Square, Battery Park, Ground Zero, John Lennon Memorial, Grand Central Station, Greenwich Village and Little Italy. Finishing of our time in NY was a baseball game between the NY Mets and the Chicago Cubs which our group was fortunate enough to catch three baseballs during the game.
Another great trip that was an outstanding experience, show case and learning tool for our student-athletes.
